Alan creates lessons which target areas which need improvement, additionally highlighting areas that are doing well. Alan is someone who is super patient and doesn't make you feel nervous or rushed. This helps as it makes driving way less scary, especially as a new driver. Also, Alan gives lots of tips where you can improve and equally a lot of praise so this helped a lot with my confidence on the road.

Alan was a very good instructor, he made sure I was confident with everything about driving before my test. He was always on time to bookings/lessons if not early. Alan made sure I was calm, when I was feeling nervous. Alan was also flexible with lesson timings where he could be. He would always try and fit around my schedules. Alan knows what he is doing to get you a pass.

Alan filled in for my instructor on my practical exam, when she was unavoidably stuck abroad. I had previously had lessons with Alan, while he was training as an instructor, and I had benefitted from his attention to detail, understanding of common issues like exam nerves, and sense of humour, so I was really glad to work with him again on my test date! In the run up to the test, Alan was really encouraging, giving me space to get in the right mindset while also giving me tips and keeping me chatting to keep the nerves at bay. I would highly recommend learning with Alan, as he is very knowledgeable about driving, while being down-to-earth and understanding.
